5 Platforms to Build your Online Presence
No more hiding. Build visibility, authority, and attract your ideal clients.

You’ve heard multiple times, “put yourself out there,” “build in public,” “build online,” but don’t know where to start.
That’s why this edition of the newsletter exists.
In this newsletter, we’ll get into five platforms you can leverage to share:
✔️ Your knowledge, expertise, or experience
✔️ Your learning progress
✔️ Your success stories
✔️ Your interest
✔️ Your growth
Let’s get into it.
1. Social Media
It’s high time you stopped treating social media as a cinema to watch the latest comedy skit or trending gossip.
Instead, choose the social media platforms that suit your goal, fit your preferred content type, or understand.
Then, start creating there. You can choose one or more from Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, X, Facebook, or WhatsApp.
For instance, I want to start a TV show, movie, and music review podcast on Audiomack.
While I’m yet to start, I share my thoughts about these content in short forms on X.
If you love good reviews and TV gossips, you can follow the account.
2. Medium
Take Medium as a free ready-to-use website to publish your long-form content.
You don’t have to wait till you build your own website before you can share your knowledge.
I also used medium for a while before I switched to other platforms.
You can read some of my work on Medium.
3. Substack
Substack allows you to share content in different formats - text, video, and audio.
For example, I use Substack to share text-based content - this newsletter you’re reading.
It allows me to reach people who didn’t subscribe on LinkedIn or have no LinkedIn account.
Also, I have the option of adding an audio to a newsletter publication.
Five editions of my newsletter have audio embedded in them. So, people who have no time to read can listen.
You can listen to the edition here.
I’m starting a 5-day email course on ‘The Consistent Content System: How to Plan, Create, and Post Without Burning Out.’ Subscribe to my Substack to get it straight in your inbox when it lands.
4. WordPress
You can create a free website on WordPress to share whatever you want. While the free plan is limited in features, it can still serve you.
The advantage this platform has over others is that your audience don’t need to sign up on it to access your content or engage with it.
Right now, I don’t have a blog on WordPress because I use Substack and social media.
If you want to set up your blog on WordPress but unclear how to go personalize your blog, send me a message.
5. Podcast Hosting Platforms
You can explore audio options to share your thoughts, experience, and expertise online.
Some podcast platforms include Audiomack, Spotify for Creators, and Rss.com.
You can follow my TV-Film podcast on Audiomack.
The time to buid in silence is over.
Put yourself out there, sharing your knowledge to groom the coming generation, gain visibility, and attract your ideal clients.
If you need help starting on any of these platforms, drop a comment or reply to this email.
See you in the next one.
